Editor's note: Many congregants of Beth Shalom remember when former Beth Shalom member Deb Kent started to send out letters asking for volunteers to help start a science museum here in Bloomington. Now, WonderLab is an incredible resource for science learning and a great place to just have fun. This letter points out how it all got started...)
Congrats to WonderLab
To the editor:
Congratulations to WonderLab for making the Parents magazine list of top science museums! The only thing missing from your article is the name Deb Kent, the person who initiated and drove the project in its formative stages.
WonderLab is Deb Kent’s brainchild. She conceived it, named it, secured the land from the city, helped find the great people who now run it, and brought a community together around a common goal: to establish a hands-on science museum in the community she loves.
Every person who benefits from WonderLab can thank Deb for getting this amazing project rolling.
